About the Farm: Calvert’s Gift Farm is a 7 acre certified organic fruit and vegetable farm located in Sparks, Maryland.  Established in 1995 by Jack and Beckie Gurley, the farm continues to produce high quality, organic fruits and vegetables season after season.

They have been continuously certified organic through the Maryland Department of Agriculture, which is accredited by the National Organic Program. The National Organic Program (NOP) has strict standards that must be met in order to become certified.  Calvert's Gift Farm utilizes extensive crop rotations, minimizes off farm inputs and relies almost entirely on natural systems to produce safe, healthy food in an environmentally sound way.  Their three high tunnels ensure nearly year round food production and because we don’t rely on a lot of heavy equipment, our fields are easily accessible, even under the harshest conditions.
