Join us at the 26th Annual Future Harvest Conference!

Every winter, farmers, educators, agriculture service providers, and foodpreneurs gather for Future Harvest’s annual conference — an extra special two days of workshops, lectures, farmer-to-farmer sessions, a menu featuring locally sourced ingredients, all-star lineup of speakers, and lots of learning and networking! We are thrilled to host our conference at the Silver Spring Civic Building this year, convenient to the Metro, dining options, ice skating, and the FRESHFARM Downtown Silver Spring Farmers Market

Important Hotel Information: Future Harvest has reserved deeply discounted hotel rooms at the Courtyard Marriott Silver Spring Downtown, 8506 Fenton Street, Silver Spring, just across the square from the conference. To receive the discount, hotel rooms must be booked with conference registration. Staff will be in touch to confirm your reservation one week before the conference. Tickets do not include parking and the hotel will request a credit card for incidentals. Want to share a room or a ride? See below!

Your ticket includes locally-sourced boxed lunches on Friday and Saturday. We will also host a happy hour on Friday night, with snacks, a cash bar and activities like farmer bingo! Silver Spring also has lots of walkable local options for food and entertainment. 

Can't get enough? One location, three events! Come to the Civic Building on Thursday January 16th for the Cultivate and Craft Value-Added Agriculture Summit. Stay an extra day on Sunday January 19th for a Produce Safety Rule Grower Training offered by the Maryland Food Safety Network, also at the Civic Building. We can't wait to see you for this incredible weekend!

Scholarships: To request a scholarship for a conference ticket, please complete this form. Applications for the first round of scholarships are due by Sunday December 1st, 2024 at 11:59 pm EST. A committee will review and announce awards by December 6th (in advance of the early bird registration deadline).

Room and Ride Share Assistance: New this year - we've created Google Groups to facilitate sharing hotel rooms and rides to and from the conference.

Parking: There are several public parking garages on the Town Square in Silver Spring. Garage 61 is across the street from the Civic Building conference center, and Garage 60 backs up to the hotel. Parking is $1.25 an hour. We know you have farm trucks! Both garages have a clearance of 8'2''. Other parking options can be found here. 

Public Transportation: Ride to the conference! The Red Line connects at the Silver Spring Metro Station, three blocks from the conference. The Red Line also connects to Union Station in Washington DC, so participants from Baltimore and Frederick may want to consider the MARC train. Multiple bus lines also stop at the Silver Spring Metro Station.
